Nails Inc |Gatwick (Matte)

Well hello there, I know its been over a year since my last blog post, but hey ho and I'm here now.
To start with I thought I would show you one of my favourite autumn/winter nail varnishes. I only got this a couple of days ago, however its made a huge impact on my nail varnish collection. This meaning I am so in love with this colour I will rarely change it. Its the Nails inc London (matte) gatwick nail varnish. At first glance I thought it looked great in the bottle however I wasn't rushing to apply this colour as I thought it might be great for Christmas but not for late September.
As soon as i put this polish to my nails, I knew it was going to be an fall fave!
The matte application gives it a dull finish, which I think is perfect for the autumn.
The cosistency of the polish is smooth and consistent. A lot better than a matte colour I have used from Avons range. I refrained from applying a top coat as I didnt want it to become shine and it did chip quite a bit. So I applied a a thin layer of top coat and it didnt affect the matte too much, and it lasted much longer.
I know nails inc can be a pricey nail varnish to most of us but when you find something you like, you just cant resist. I will be definitely trying some more of the matte colour range and digging out a few of my own for the months ahead.
Thanks for reading,
Bye for now.

My Visit To Bath!

My boyfriend and I visited Bath last weekend for our good friends wedding! We both have never been to Bath before and we both really loved the small town. Its famous for Jane Austen and the Roman Baths, its quite close to Bristol. We had a great walk round Bath, seen some of the sites and had a lovely meal in one of the local pubs! So here our some pictures of our time their!

VO5 |give me textue spray

If you have read any of my previous posts you will know i suffer from flat and lifeless hair! So i have been looking for a product that will just give me the help to give some texture to my hair! I have had this product for a couple of months now and I wasn't sure if it would have the desired effect but as the price was low and i can always pass on products i don't use to my mum and sister i purchased it. Its the new V05 give me texture tousled style spray. The description on the packaging is tease your locks and enhance your waves. This is what enticed me in. So after using this product on dry hair, i felt it did give my hair volume and texture, the product itself is quite sticky and doesn't feel too nice to put into your hair. If you put too much into the hair i think it makes the hair heavy and stuck together also looking a bit wet. However using a small amount at the ends of your hair, scrunching the spray into your natural waves and then onto any layers you have i think it gives a great effect. I bought this product for £3.36, yes cheap as chips. I bought this product from Boots but i seen it also in Superdrug. I used this product today and i have taken a picture which will be below. I should have taken a picture of before, if you can imagine my hair blown dried is bone straight!
The picture above is the product, below is me and my hair with the product in.

Witch |Concealer

I bought this product last Thursday and i am loving this concealer. It was around 4 pound from Superdrug, which is great value as it has glam packaging, slim for your purse or makeup bag. The concealer (witch hide and clear) is in natural colour number 1. It has great coverage and has witch hazel to soothe and reduce your blemishes. I went to a wedding on Saturday and i didnt re-touch my makeup I just kept covering up my spots with this (which i had a serious breakout a few days earlier.) I felt this concealer really toned down my spots and helped with the redness.
I can assure you this is a great product, its creamy not too chalky, great shade and cheap. I have a concealer palette from Avon which i bought recently and even though it has a great variety of shades like yellow and apricot for reducing redness and blemishes, it hasn't got the witch hazel which helps reduce your blemish as well as covering them for a perfect finish.

Smokey Eyes |Collection 2000

I bought this over a week ago now, and I must admit i thought because its not an expensive brand i wouldn't use it very often and probably need to use a primer!
Except i have used it every day since! Collection 2000 has a variety of affordable products, i really like their concealer and eyeliners. This is great product and i think collection 2000 have really related their products to the more popular and expensive brands. The palette has a selection of 9 colours. 3 medium, 3 dark, 2 light and 1 cream. (as you may see from the picture below.) The colours do not have name but from left to right i will tell you my description of the colours.
  • silver with glitter, black, white
  • gold with glitter, brown, pink
  • grey, dark brown, pink cream
So from the picture and the description you can probably tell that this are very neutral and earthy colours, which i think can suit dark haired or fair haired people. I can use the light to medium on the days i have worked and if I'm out late in the evening i can just use the medium to darker colousr! The darker colours are great and highly pigmented, the light colours are not that great but do the job. The cream which is used as a highlighter is pretty nice quality and does give a nice glossy look to the inner corners of your eyes!

The only problems i have with this fairly cheap palette is that the eye shadows when you apply them they can fall a lot and means lots of concealer under the eyes. Also the applicator for this product is like the sponge on sticks i had when i was younger in a toy makeup set! I binned that as soon as i saw it! I just use my eyeshadow brush and a fluffy blending brush, which works fine.
On the back there is a how to use in 4 easy steps, i did take note of this, however the lighter shades are not very good at the brow bone highlighting because they aren't very pigmented.
I bought this palette from Boots, its was around £4. Which i think to get 9 colours is a great bargain! Especially as they are half decent eye shadows! They had two other colour scheme palettes, one was really bright loud colours and the other one was purples i think. I preferred this one as it was more neutral tones. I have the Benefit smokey eyes palette and I think this is a good cheap alternative for people who like the smokey eyes look!

24 HOUR BODY |TRESemme

So, I'm one of them girls that has limp lifeless fine hair, and I have a lot of it! So my daily hair routine consists of a lot of volumizing products! From shampoo to mousse. Which I admit does work! So I was in Superdrug looking for my regular mousse and I spotted this "TRESemme 24hour body sky high plumping power"! I thought this maybe would cancel out a few of the the volumizing products I already used. First application I think I didn't massage it for long enough or maybe even applied too much as it made my hair feel a little gritty but with not alot of volume! Not good, no one likes their hair to feel like you have just been for a dip in the sea! (or maybe they do?)
Anyways after a week of dodging the powder I decided to have another go, but use a little less and give it a good massage! It worked! I had volume in my roots, lots of lift, with a smooth not gritty finish. So from trial and error I now use this powder often! I can even cut out the mousse when I am going to use this product!
TRESemme have plenty of voluming products and I use the mousse which also I can highly value!
This is a brilliant easy product with quick results. The packaging is a small black bottle, and the powder is white. Its 10g, I think I am half way through my bottle but I am using it regulary as my hair is so flat! I just like to have that little lift in my roots!
So if your looking for a powder volumizing product then you should try this. There is also other brands that do very similar plumping powder. I  bought this last month for under £4 from Superdrug, I do think it's value for money because I would spend the same on mouse and hairspray to keep give my hair the body I so much desire! Also it's great for them days when you dont want to be blow drying your hair to give it volume. Its quicker and simple!
This is the link for the TRESemme website where they will give you more details on application.

Lush Lips!

This has to be one of my faveourite lip glosses ever! It has amazing shine and feel! I am quite a neutral lip kind of girl and rarely dare to wear a lipstick which is matte coloured. However with this i think it gives a great colour and a fabulous shine! It claims to stay on for 6 hours which i havent witnessed yet! Maybe 4 hours. Saying that I do like to apply the lip gloss often! As for the packaging its in a glam diamond looking tube with the shiny handle. I had a friend comment on the packaging, saying it looks fab! The applicator for this product is a small heart shaped spongy wand, which i think is so easy and smooth to use!! I think Cheryl Cole may have advertised this product earlier this year! This is a great cheap lip gloss available at most drugstores. Loreal really suceeded with this product, i bought it for about £8, and I think i will have to invest in a darker colour for the night as  the "103  forever nude" is better for the day!

Glam shine is a small tube but I have used my day in and day out since early August and I still get great coverage from it still. If you want perfect glossy lips with an easy application this is the gloss for you, they have 16 varied colours.

Argan Oil | Hair Treatment

This is a serum which I use on a daily basis!
Its a fantastic new product that is used for your hair.
It had vitamin E and a natural anti-oxidant which nourishes your hair and gives it a great shine! I bought mine from Boots at £12.99 for 100mls.
I was looking for the more popular Moroccan oil but I came to this first and thought I would have a dabble at this one. I was immediately impressed with the product, it makes my hair feel soft and gave moisture to my dry ends.
Also as I have blonde hair a shine is hard to achieve but this does give me a slight shine without looking greasy.
I use a couple of pumps and that usually rids me of my fly aways and smooths down my layers.
I would recommend this product to anyone who feel they need to give there hair a treatment for dry ends.
My mum noticed a change with the healthiness of my hair and was soon asking for a pump or two. My mum also has fine limp hair like mine and too prone to fly aways, however she loved this oil treatment and use it as religiously as me now! I use it up to twice a day, mostly after its been blown dried.
I have only used a quarter of the bottle over 3 months! Its great value and I think the popular Moroccan oil is about the same price for a lot  less product!
So this is great if your on a budget but still want a quality product for the money you do spend!
I will leave the link below for the boots website where they will have more information on the product.

To Run Or Not To Run!

It all began 2 years ago, I was gaining a lot of weight mainly from no exercise and over-eating, i knew this was happening but i thought a healthy eating plan would shed a few lbs. However months after i wasn't losing any weight and my mum was starting to worry about my health and decided that we was going to start walking 3 miles Monday to Friday! Not only that at 6am as this was only time we could fit it in to our daily routines and commitments! My mum by the way is short and petite and didn't have much weight to lose where it was the opposite me! So we began our new healthy exercise regime speed walking around the town. After a few months we started to progress into a jog and walk, then just jogging from start to finish! If anyone has done the start to finish then you will know how much of an achievement it is! Now I run regularly early Monday to Friday with or without my mum! We both lost weight in this time and I'm still not at my desired weight but I am glad with the fitness i have achieved! All i wanted to put across in this post is that whatever your weight or size running/jogging/walking is great for you mind and body! I enjoy listening to my ipod however i know my mum likes to work out her daily routine in her head while she runs!
If anyone needs more information or motivation or just a general get to know about running, I can recommend the women's running magazine! Its £3.90 per monthly issue, however if you subscribe they can post them to your home and you get a lot of money knocked paying around £5 every quarter. This magazine had been my motivation many times, when i think I'm over running and had enough i dig out my last mag and instantly know giving up would be more bad than good. They have lots of real life articles, ways to improve your running style, reviews on the correct running gear and how to increase your speed and time with interval training.
You can buy the single copies of the mag in most superstores and in some newsagents. This is my most recent copy that was was sent out which is the October issue! I do have them delivered to my home as i have subscribed to them. I will put the link of their website below and here you can also get tips and inspiration. This is the only running mag i have tried as it was recommended to me by another female runner.
The thing i admire most about running is that it cost nothing, i can just throw on my trainers and go! Its up to me how far and how long. It costs me nothing unlike my old gym £54 a month! Not only that its a great feeling knowing you have pounded the local pavements instead of having that extra time in bed or watching the TV!
I hope you catch the running bug too!

Hand Food |Soap & Glory

Most people in the UK will have heard of Soap and Glory! Well if you haven't I hope this post makes you go out and find some of their products! I was introduced to Soap and Glory a few christmas' ago when my mum bought me a small giftset from S&G as a stocking filler! Since then I have been hooked on their Hand Food!
So as you can see the packaging is in the lovely pink trademark colour! All of their products have the unique vintage look with most having gorgeous pictures of glamorous women! Their products if you read on the back, also can have helpful tips!
This hand cream has the most luxurious feel to it, this is due to it being non-greasy and smells lush. The key ingredients for this product is Shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow, which together is a lovely combination. For me its a must have at just over £4 for a 125ml tube is great value and not to be grumbled at. I have had this tube for 6 months and just coming to the end of it! A small blob goes a long way and keeps your hands from getting dry and/or chapped. My hands benefit hugely from this product as they feel nourished and I honestly think my nails feel stronger for using it! I have tried other hand creams but this is certainly the best and the products I will always repurchase.
As the autumn is approaching I do hope that your all keeping your hands in the best condition also don't forgot to rub your hand cream into your cuticles. It helps!
The packaging has written on the front of the tube "THE MOST ASTONISHING HAND CREAM EVER?" Which I totally agree and enthusiastically recommend for people who are prone to dry hands or for people who just like the odd moisture here and there!
Most Soap and Glory products are found in Boots. I have given you link below
